"SPOT" ........ us if you can.

Neil Bennett donated a SPOT for us to use on the trip and Mark activated it and is currently trying it out. You can follow Mark for the next week or so while it is operating by going to this website:

http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=0Y0fDVMI3la6puPj18yEoMkNYct0A1M4o

You will probably have to copy and paste that entire link in your browser or you can highlight it all, then right click on it, and then click on "Open Link".

This link will take you another SPOT:

To get to this one, use the same rules as noted above.

So, what is SPOT? It isn't that dog in the grade one reader for those that can remember that far back and it isn't the second brightest star in the sky, Sirius, (the dog star) in the constellation of Orion. It is a GPS like device that first sends signals to a satellite that in turn sends signals to that big computer in the sky so that all we have to do is click on the link above and we can all see where we have been. The track points should stay visible for 7 days (I think). So, the idea is to have this on while we are paddling and you can follow along with us.

Soooooo, if Sirius is the second brightest star in the sky, what is the brightest one?
